Taking The Helm are now taking bookings for a 5 day intense course to be held between January and March 2013. 

We are also offering pairs of students discount courses to be held at their homes at only £350 per student.  Please see courses page for dates and price details.
 
We are a company specialising in a very personal approach to RYA instruction and bespoke sail training, from beginner to advanced, from Start Sailing and Competent Crew through to Yachtmaster and Yachtmaster Ocean. 
 
We offer RYA Shorebased theory courses, family based tuition (including race training and racing) and other modular courses tailored to your needs.  Our theory courses are run in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey and our practical courses run from the Solent or from wherever your boat is moored! 
 
This customer led approach gives us the opportunity to offer you sailing instruction tailored exactly to your needs, be it corporate team building or Leadership training, mentored sailing, own boat tuition or another form of sailing activity.

Have Your Race Training and Coaching Filmed

Mason King is an RYA Keelboat Race Coach and takes video of race training sessions and racing from a remote camera perched at the back of the boat.  The footage is often used in debrief and for entertainment purposes.

Whether you want to see how you performed and where improvements can be made, or whether you want a memento of your race or training, this facility can be available for you to take advantage of.
